Our History
2018: The Start
In 2018 I started doing homecoming and prom makeup for friends in high school. Little did I know that would be the start of my very small/local business.
I had "clients" bring their own foundation, concealer and lashes and I would use all of my brushes and eyeshadow products I had at the time. This was a struggle to say the least because I grew up in a very rural area where there wasn't much diversity, so a lot of people were not able to use the same shades that I used on myself.
Later in 2018 my mom helped me grow my makeup collection and gain products that were more geared towards the individuals I was doing makeup for at the time.
2019: My First Wedding
A close friend of mine reached out to me on snapchat, way before I had any type of booking system, and asked me if I was available to do her makeup for her wedding day in 2019. I was so excited and of course said yes!
I knew I wouldn't be able to travel with all of my makeup in numerous different small containers and cases, so I bought my first mobile makeup case. This, at the time, changed my life and made makeup jobs so much easier!
2021: Marian's Makeup Shack
This is the year my business finally gained a name, Marian's Makeup Shack, and business began to take off. I made my first logo for myself, the photo to the left, and I absolutely loved it. I started traveling more and doing makeup jobs all over Kentucky while being a full-time student at NKU.
2022: Gained My BSBA at NKU and Rebranded to Bridal Beauty by Marian
In December of 2022 I gained my BSBA and continued traveling to do makeup throughout Kentucky while gaining experiences alongside salon owners and other makeup artist from all over. I worked on growing my makeup collection and prioritized learning more techniques to improve my makeup skills.
2023 - 2024: Grew Clientele and Took a Break
Throughout 2023 and 2024 my weekends were fully booked! It was such an exciting and busy couple of years for Bridal Beauty by Marian, I got to travel not only in Kentucky but started traveling through Tennessee and Ohio. God blessed me with more opportunities than I could have ever asked for or expected. Come the end of 2024 I decided to take some time to focus on myself and my family.
2026: Fresh Start and Rebrand
The Beginning of M's Bridal Beauty
Now, in 2026, I am starting over and getting back into what I love. For the last year, I have done makeup jobs and every time the feeling of "this is what I am meant to do" came over me. I have missed seeing the smiles on people's faces when they see the results of their makeup appointment and the feeling I got seeing their faces light up with pure joy knowing they look and feel their absolute best on their special day. So now for 2026 and many years to come, M's Bridal Beauty is open for business and ready to start booking!
